In this vibrantly illustrated picture book, the author introduces young readers to The Feline Family. The Father is Felix Feline, who is a grey-striped cat. The Mother is Callie Feline, who is a dark grey-tortoiseshell cat with a little shadow or orange. They have a son named Riley Feline, who is a striped orange cat and looks exactly like the father except for the colour. They surprise Riley with a cute puppy which he named Rex. Riley takes care of his puppy and they have so much fun. However, something happens one dreadful and awful night, which will change their lives forever.
